Teenage pregnancy rates in Canada’s Arctic are four times higher than in the rest of the country.
Inuit women have always had their children at a young age but since traditional support systems have largely faded away, young mothers face a new set of challenges. Jessica, Gina and Erica have had to deal with their fair share of intergenerational trauma but they are fiercely determined to keep their children far out of harm’s way and take on life with courage and love.
